The company has an exciting opportunity for a talented Drupal/Wordpress Engineer to join the team building the next-generation Digital CMS platform for all of the organization's. websites. The ideal candidate will have 2+ experience engineering CMS solutions for large-scale, highly trafficked web sites. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and enjoy solving complex problems in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.
PRIMARY RESPOSIBILITIES:
* Develop cutting edge web sites and web applications in Drupal and Wordpress
* Create lovely and remarkable user experiences using CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies
* Work with a cross-functional project teams throughout the development process from information architecture and prototyping to development, testing, launch and beyond
* Work directly with clients. Communicate digital solutions understandable by non-technical people
* Work with the internal team to refine and improve our development processes
* Influence what is actually sold and built when working directly with clients POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* Excellent PHP5, MySQL and HTML/CSS/AJAX/JavaScript Skills * Basic/Intermediate level understanding of Drupal modules and themes
* Excellent working knowledge of Apache, Memcached and Varnish
* Experience with object-oriented design and data modeling * Strong background building CMS-based, service-oriented integrations using technologies such as JSON and REST
* Solid experience working with source/version control systems such as Git and SVN
* Strong time management and analytical/problem solving abilities
* Social media or user generated content experience highly desired
* Thorough understanding of web application security considerations Work Experience Required:
* Two or more years of experience developing PHP websites, preferably with Drupal and Wordpress
* Advanced knowledge of browser side web markup and scripting languages including: o JavaScript, JQuery, XHTML, and CSS.
* Experience managing Drupal/Wordpress deployments between server environments (Dev, QA, Stage, Production)
* Experience developing projects under Agile, SCRUM or similar iterative unified processes
* Experience with software development life cycles including design and implementation, unit testing, and production deployment.
