Job Description-
As a Portfolio Architect for Network technology , the candidate will architect global technical solutions for all functionality that involves network components and interconnecting heterogenous cloud environments.
The candidate will collaborate with other functional and technical teams to ensure all network functionality is correctly described and deployed. Strong knowledge of networking and cloud technology is needed in order to translate business and offering requirements into technical architectures that can be seamlessly integrated into the overall production infrastructure.
The candidate will work on cutting-edge projects in a highly technical, dynamic, and fast-paced organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead technical architect for all network related solutions, including understanding and documenting the full company network architecture
Primary point of contact for overall network architecture and functionality; have a full understanding of how network and cloud components are related and dependency impacts of any changes or updates.
Apply advanced technical knowledge in multiple areas to understand and improve current architecture design.
Work with peers in other groups to define the architecture and deployment standards and best practices to control, enhance and improve overall system stability and availability
Assist with integration of the network architecture strategy with other technologies and methodologies
Assist with the implementation of network and cloud components with internal and external clients
Partner with offering architects to produce detailed conceptual and logical architectures that meet all business and technical requirements provided
Collaborate with build engineers to produce detailed physical architectures that will lead to timely and successful deployment of network and cloud dependent systems
Completes assigned activities within schedule
Assist with client issues, and with RFI/RFPs as needed
Skills Required
Virtual Network with Hyper-V and Azure, SPC support for provisioning with Bladelogic networks engagement into public clouds, network standard for Cloud, network Storage
Architect level experience (7+ years) in the following areas:
Network Architecture
Network design and implementation
Cloud Computing - secure, virtualized, multi-tenancy environment
1-2 years experience with Microsoft Azure and its interconnection with private infrastructure
Relevant certifications in network and cloud technologies
Working knowledge of IT operational procedures and processes.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years Data Center experience.
Familiarity with various operating systems and industry-accepted standards.
Experience in project management including managing and motivating technical personnel.
Possesses strong product, technology, and industry knowledge.
Experience with design (blueprinting) and developing conceptual, logical, and technical architecture models.
Experience developing reference architectures.
Outstanding English communications skills in formal writing and speaking
Ability to create detailed conceptual, logical and physical architectures
Minimum of 7 years experience working in a technical environment supporting computing infrastructure
Knowledge of ITIL
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to deal with partners and peers located worldwide
Education and Work Experience
Minimum Bachelors degree (Masters Degree preferred) with focus on English, Computer Science, and/or Engineering from leading institutes
Minimum of 7 years of work experience
